- Where does art pop end and experimental music begin?
- At the survival of the song. However complex art pop becomes, it keeps a melody, a voice and an emotional line you can follow. Experimental music may discard all three and take sound itself as its subject. Art pop dances in chains; experimental music removes the chains.
- How do I stop generated art pop collapsing into an ordinary ballad?
- Demand the unconventional explicitly: "string quartet alternating with synthesizers," "metric shift at the bridge," "ends in the relative minor without returning home." Ask for a longer duration too — art pop needs room, and a three-minute frame squeezes it back into standard pop.
- What kind of lyric suits the style?
- Abstraction is fine as long as it has internal logic. One image carried through the whole song, viewed from a new angle in each section, beats a pile of ornate vocabulary. Give the AI a clear conceptual core and three variations on it rather than asking for something "poetic."
